Katie Parfitt

Studio Director

Katie joined HLM in 2022 as our London Studio Director, bringing a collaborative and hands-on approach to leading an architectural practice.

Katie started her architectural career studying at Plymouth University and completed her studies at the Welsh School of Architecture before continuing to Reading University where she undertook a Master of Project Management. An active member of several professional forums demonstrating her strong networking skills, Katie is passionate about mentoring and works closely with Reading University on their Thrive mentoring programme.

With extensive cross-sector experience in residential, commercial, education, and pharma, Katie is an experienced project leader with specialist knowledge in distribution and logistics. Her most recent project in this sector being a 677, 000sqft distribution unit for a major retailer, where she was central in leading the planning application process, obtaining planning permission, procuring the contractor and construction phases on the project.
