I have been providing heritage consultancy on both above and below ground heritage across the UK for 30 years, 20 of them as an independent consultant based in Leeds. I own and manage Prospect Archaeology which has offices in Leeds and Lincoln. We provide historic environment consultancy and project management services across all sectors and pride ourselves in being client-focused and solution driven. I truly believe excavation isn’t always the answer, but, when it is, it needs to be targeted and effective. We are a small team and although I undertake a lot of the fee-earning work I also manage the day-to-day running of the business and take the lead in business development. I’m always happy to give clients, old and new, my view on the best way of approaching a tricky heritage problem. My advice would always be to think about it early to avoid any last-minute shocks!
