Chris Birch

Director

Chris is a Director responsible for the day-to-day management of the Infrastructure & Environment group at Hilson Moran. Chris has extensive expertise in sustainable masterplanning, environmental impact assessments, green building design, renewable energy, air quality and human health risk assessment. He is also an experienced planning inquiry expert witness and has given evidence in support of many planning appeals on missed use developments and infrastructure schemes. Chris has been in the industry for in excess of 25 years and has worked in a number of international environmental engineering consultancies Entec UK and WSP Environmental before joining Hilson Moran in 2002. At Hilson Moran, he was promoted to Divisional Director in 2007 before moving into his current Director role in 2012. He has now been with Hilson Moran for 20 years and is a shareholder in the company.  Hilson Moran is an international multi‑disciplinary practice offering design consultancy services for the built environment. Chris manages a experienced team of infrastructure, energy and environmental consultants. During time at Hilson Moran, Chris has built strong relationships with a wide range of developers, architects, planners and legal specialists.  His project experience has been extremely broad ranging from providing early stage planning advice on residential developments, commercial offices, infrastructure developments, shopping centres and mixed use masterplans.
